IAFRam Temple TrustAppoints First CEO, Ex-IAF Veteran Who Planned Operation Sindoor

Date:

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has appointed Jeetendra Mishra, a veteran of the Indian Air Force and a senior planner of Operation Sindoor, as its first Chief Executive Officer, according to a report.

Mishra brings significant operational experience to the role, having served in the Indian Air Force before transitioning to administrative leadership within the trust that oversees the Ram temple complex in Ayodhya.

The trust has also brought on board new members with diverse backgrounds, including a Delhi-based businessman and a worker affiliated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the report stated.

Operation Sindoor refers to the Indian military operation carried out in May 2025 following the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people. Mishra’s involvement in the strategic planning of that operation highlights his background in security and crisis management.

The appointments come as the trust continues to oversee the development and management of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple complex, one of India’s most significant religious infrastructure projects.

Analysis: The selection of an IAF veteran with military planning experience for a religious trust’s top administrative post reflects a pattern of appointing individuals with backgrounds in defense and security matters to key institutional roles. The inclusion of RSS-affiliated members aligns with the organization’s historical association with the temple movement. These appointments may signal the trust’s intent to maintain strong organizational coordination with wider Sangh Parivar institutions while managing a project of national religious significance.
