Roman will operate alongside the Hubble Space Telescope and the James Webb Space Telescope, with its wide-field capability complementing the deeper, narrower observations of the two existing observatories. NASA has described the trio as providing “a comprehensive view of the universe across spatial scales and wavelengths.”
